PRESS RELEASE - Town of Two Hills Announces Completion of Sustainability Upgrades at Centennial Arena and Curling Rink
February 18, 2026 – The Town of Two Hills is thrilled to announce the completion of a transformative sustainability and infrastructure project at the Two Hills Centennial Arena and Curling Rink. This integrated initiative features a new high-efficiency ice plant refrigeration system, a ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar farm, and modern electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, all aimed at reducing energy costs, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing community facilities for generations to come.
Located at 5303 45 Ave, adjacent to the arena and recreation centre, the project combines renewable energy generation, advanced refrigeration technology, and EV support to benefit residents, visitors, and the broader east-central Alberta region.
